we’re almost done unpacking every box in the house. there are only a handful left. once those are done i can finally say we’re “moved in” but it won’t feel like home until we have dsl (or cable internet) and our computers up and running. the fish tank is back up (despite 4 casualties including that big plecko) i guess the move did them some harm.
but cosmo is happy still which is the most important fish for me aside from my red-tailed black shark which is still in my other tank back at the apartment.
kosh is in his tank but acting strange. i think he wants to brumate (lizard version of hibernation) cold weather is triggering it and it makes them sleep all day and not eat. sometimes it kills them because they get weak and die from parasites.. gotta take him to the vet next week so that doesn’t happen… ![]()
so many things have happened these last few days it’s been wild. but i can’t get into details now. Life with Tela has been interesting, fun, a challenge, and it’s been a learning experience. wow, going from 1 dog to 2 was not that big a deal. but going from 2 to 3 has been like having 4 dogs. Tela is so big and she has a lot of energy too. even tho her mom said she’s laid back. I think having bullet and scully around (especially bullet) has made her excited and they wrestle and play with eachother ALL the time. when they’re not playing, then either tela (with one or both of the other dogs) follow either one us around EVERYWHERE. It’s like having a big black shadow with a tongue! LOL. I think they don’t feel comfortable at the house yet so they haven’t found that “spot” where they lounge. like under the coffee table for bullet or on the couch for scully. now niether of them likes those spots anymore so they roam and roam and roam.
aside from the pets, the humans are doing pretty well too. we absolutely love having our own house. it has been SO awesome so far. :)
on the downside, the damned city of boca sent some workers over to tear up some segments of the sidewalk around my house to fix a few trip hazards where our tree roots had lifted the concrete. so they tear it up and totally tear up a portion of our sprinkler system which runs along side the sidewalk along with it. THOSE DAMNED BASTARDS. i know it’s going to be REAL hard getting them to pay for the damage. but we’re going to try. this will be our first homeowner altercation with the city . heh
ok, so i have a 1 day workweek and tons of ntt crap to do so i gotta get started. ciao.
Hey Doof, I’m really really happy for you. I didn’t even know that you had actually “gotten” Tela. Last time i heard you were just thinking about it. Glad you got some sleep. I’ll call you tomorrow and maybe we can stop by.
