i know i haven’t updated LJ in a long time.. (sorry xenia) but i guess u can say i’ve had other things to occupy my free time … like shopping around for baby gear bargains…. LOL! online, on foot, whatever works.
i had my review.. it was ok/good even. i got my bonus check. i’m glad i have a little more money to help out w/ all these new expenses but i was a bit bumbed out when i saw what a huge chunk of it went to uncle sam. 
can’t wait for my options money in june/july.. that will help too. we’re not in the poor house… yet, but we’re tight. we must have spent about $400 + already on stuff for the baby and still need to get a car seat, stroller, dresser, more clothes, and other things.
i registered at babiesrus.com but for some reason i don’t expect we will be showered with many gifts. i mean, we already got hefty (cash) wedding gifts from dennis’ side of the fam. but it all got eaten up in bills already. heh!.. funny how that happens. PAMPERS SIZES 2 AND 3! (hint, hint) ;) you can never go wrong with getting those! LOL!
kidz to kidz consignment in deerfield! that place is like a gold mine! we’ve already gotten some BRAND NEW clothes for the baby but i have NO problem buying used. used baby clothes is practically brand new anyway. the other day i got about 12 outfits and a pair of toddler sandels for 35 bucks! WoW! i felt like i had made the killing of the month! we got dennis’ aunts crib for 75 smacks and her dining room table for 100 smacks. we don’t have those things yet, but when we do, it will be the first table i’ve owned in … um… about 4 years. LOL! we’ve been using the coffee table to eat all this time.
There’s nothing wrong with buying used baby clothes. I mean, how long do they where it for anyway?…a few months? Of course they’ll be (almost) brand new! I wish I could buy you a bunch of stuff, but I know you understand my (broke student) situation right now. My Mom said if you can make it here for a weekend, we’ll throw you a baby shower! We’ll invite Edilma, Cuca, (the other) Xenia and more! Just a thought!!
Reply to grocerynipplesi think it’s rediculous how some of our cousins let loose with their wallets when they have babies. i had decided years ago that getting would the way for me when it came to that sort of thing..
anyway, the shower thing sounds cool. i appreciate it! but i’m not sure when we could drive up. i told dennis last week i want to go to seaworld before we have the baby (i’ve been dying to go there for a long long time!) but he said something about not having a lot of days off or soemthing..
if we go we’ll take some extra time to go visit. how far from u is seaworld anyway? but you don’t have to have a shower or anything, we can just visit. :)

Reply to grocerynipplesThey have a kidz to kidz down here in Sandalfoot too, and I know what you mean. My boys’ school has this really tight dress code, but I got all their school clothes there for very few bucks.
