well my working counterpart is on vacation this week and next week too. so i’ll be working alone 2 saturdays in a row. it’s kinda nice having the place to myself actually. He can be a pain in the ass sometimes especially when he sees i’m not in a chatty mood.
It’s been raining cats and dogs this morning which contributed to my being late, REALLY late, to work today. like i told a little while ago, the rain was louder than my 2 alarm clocks. I think bossman has given up trying to get me to come in “on time” especially since i’ll be leaving in at most 7 weeks anyway. He knows i won’t be able to afford to come in late anymore after i come back. D will have to wait for me to get home before passing the baby baton to me and coming to work himself at 4… so the pressure will be on then. it’ll be strictly 7am to 3-3:15pm no more of this staying late to make up for coming in late deal.
Today i want to reinstall everything at work. swap machines making the dual pentium a windows box and the slower one my linux workstation. but i realized… how am i going to move those damed things around? I need to open both machines and swap out the hard drives. I’d give myself a hernia trying to do it. they’re too heavy. I miss my abdominal muscles. but, i think i’ll try anyway and just slide stuff around instead of picking up and take it slow since i brought everything i need including laptop and blank disks to burn the redhat iso’s. wish me luck.
