I installed ximian desktop 2 and have also been installing xp on the other machine. spent the last 2 hours looking around in ximian gnome desktop trying to figure out how the F@CK! to change a few desktop behaviours. how frustrating. They’re little set of “Personal Settings” options is a joke. Looks like I’ll have to learn my way around gconf. what a pain. It’s pretty nice aside from this annoyance, tho.

today was “ok” i guess with exception of my decision to reboot nexus after runstats would not die no matter what i did. it had been stuck for over a day. damn server refused to boot back up and took me 3 hours to get it going. that sucked royal ass cuz when that baby is down, a LOT of things go wrong and people start to take notice. could it check ram any slower, u think? bossman also started to lose it after the 2 hour mark. My ass got REAL cold sitting on that dc floor in front of that monster server with the laptop for an hour. i don’t like it when my ass gets cold.
Time to jet home and check out the new furniture!!!
