I decided to put my mind to rest about this baby’s sluggishness over the last 2 days. She’s not been moving much at all. yesterday only moved 2 or 3 times which is real unusual. SO i’m waiting for it to be a little after 9am to call my dr. office and see what they say.
I got up, had waffles and OJ. they say the oj should make baby move. well it did. she moved but only a little and now she’s not moving again. dunno, maybe i’m overreacting here but I rather be safe than sorry. Scariest part is my belly feel real hard which makes me wonder about amniotic fluid levels (i’ve been reading too much pregnancy material, i think)
Last night at 12:20pm i heard someone try to open our front door. a key was inserted and taken out twice, I knew it was too early for it to be dennis (he usually comes home at 1am) I though maybe he was sent home early because it’s been super slow at work these days. The dogs went nutso as usual barking up a storm at the door. but minutes passed, the dogs stopped barking and nobody came thru the door. Now that was creepy. later on when dennis comes home i asked if he had come home earlier but he said no. I told him about the incident and he thinks I must have been dreaming. BUT I WASN’T!!
I don’t know why i’m not more freaked out about the whole thing. I keep thinking someone had the wrong house by accident like some senile old man (many of those around these parts) If someone had wanted to break in, i think they would have done it already.
hmm… i think i might get freaked out tonight until D comes home.. I’ll make sure to have a butcher knife and speed dial for 911 ready.
This reminds me of the time (when I used to work 3rd shift) that my wife heard someone messing with the door. And got a big knife and stood by the door. When she finally got the courage she opened it and had the knife in the “ready to stab” position. Turns out it was just a big bug that kept flying in the to door.
Yes, get the knife and the speed dial ready! Don’t mean to freak you out even more, but I don’t want to get hurt!
don’t take a chance Mrs. Doofweed. Especially with a baby on the way. I would call the police and report it, and perhaps ask that they patrol the neighborhood. I’m not trying to freak you out, but better safe than sorry. A phone call won’t hurt anything, and it will give you better peace of mind knowing that there are patrols. They will patrol. You live in a nice nieghborhood… is there any kind of neighborhood watch program in place? Just make sure everything is locked, and i’m sure you’ll be fine.
As for the sluggishness, don’t panic. I think they slow down and get bored after a while. I know I would. But call anyway. Better safe than sorry! She’s probably just growing REALLY REALLY BIG. It’s easy to read too much and panic and read too much into things. I think the belly does get hard towards the end.
Good luck and make that phone call.
well D is staying with me tonight (for other reasons) so we’ll be prepared if it happens again. I should have looked out the window to see who’d walk away but i was too scared and just stayed under the bed covers the whole time. :-\
