well D is staying with me tonight (for other reasons) so we'll be prepared if it happens again. I should have looked out the window to see who'd walk away but i was too scared and just stayed under the bed covers the whole time. :-\

don't take a chance Mrs. Doofweed. Especially with a baby on the way. I would call the police and report it, and perhaps ask that they patrol the neighborhood. I'm not trying to freak you out, but better safe than sorry. A phone call won't hurt anything, and it will give you better peace of mind knowing that there are patrols. They will patrol. You live in a nice nieghborhood... is there any kind of neighborhood watch program in place? Just make sure everything is locked, and i'm sure you'll be fine.

As for the sluggishness, don't panic. I think they slow down and get bored after a while. I know I would. But call anyway. Better safe than sorry! She's probably just growing REALLY REALLY BIG. It's easy to read too much and panic and read too much into things. I think the belly does get hard towards the end.

Good luck and make that phone call.

Yes, get the knife and the speed dial ready! Don't mean to freak you out even more, but I don't want to get hurt!

This reminds me of the time (when I used to work 3rd shift) that my wife heard someone messing with the door. And got a big knife and stood by the door. When she finally got the courage she opened it and had the knife in the "ready to stab" position. Turns out it was just a big bug that kept flying in the to door.
