Oh.. not again..

so i thought i had solved the problem w/ my 30gig scsi drive by reformatting and “fixing the corruption”.. well the corruption was caused by it’s imminent hardware failure as i had originally suspected. the freak’n drive took 12 hours of continuious reboots and baby talking to come back to life.. i thought it would never spin up again.. the racket in my case was funny.. but not so funny was the thought of losing all my divx movies and having to reinstall ALL OVER AGAIN. I bought a new 120gb today woohoooo!!!! that’s more space then i’ll know what to do with.

well my sick drive has FINALLY spun up and i’m trying my damnest to get files off it. and backup everything else so i won’t have to reinstall anything… only restore.

anybody want a 30gb seagate scsi drive for a doorstop? that drive was a gift from an ex coworker a long LOOONG time ago. …. sometimes i wonder if he stumbled upon this drive when he was rummaging through one of our cabinets. LOL! … it WAS around the time we started using 30’s… hmmmmmmmm…
