sometimes i wonder why it takes me so long to get certain things done. today I changed mysql root passwords and it must have taken me 3 hours for the whole process.. with a one hour break in the middle spent on some other task. .. then the rest of the time was spent taking care of about 20 oddball servers nobody could figure out what the current mysql password was set to… then later i screwed up mysql on chipshot. lord only knows how the hell the passwd for sa was changed. all i did was stop/start… and boom, it was changed. i guess someone changed it at some point in the past and it never reloaded till i restarted it.

but anyway.. why all this time for changing passwords? am i too careful? too anal? or just plain too slow? i dunno. I worked my ass off today and i really feel like i accomplished nothing. tomorrow will be another such day and i have one other project thingy looming over my head like a dark cloud i haven’t been able to get to. I really need to spend some home time on it just to get it done and over with or jenn will likely strangle me. the whole project i feel on hold because of me and dwarfman won’t be happy either…

who was it that was complaining not 1 month ago about having nothing to do? aha! that was me. yeap. that’s right…

well the big wig mother company folk are in town and i glanced at the she-god briefly. Although i was relieved they passed clear of my area, now i wish I had been introduced. I’m intrigued that all this bustle was over a woman bigwig. not surprised, just intrigued because i thought people in that country never would promote a women to such levels. She must be good because you know a woman would have to be twice as good than a man to be promoted like that especially in a place where women are rarely seen as equals.

funny thing is she looks like any one of those japanese porn make-believe bondage/rape victims i’ve seen. yep, i’ve seen a couple clips. don’t really like ‘em but anyways… what i’m trying to say is she looks really young for someone in her position.
