woot! vacation time a’comin’ vacation time a’comin’.

so i found out what that stench was yesterday and did another load of laundry as soon as i got home. nope , it wasn’t dog poop and it wasn’t dog vomit. it was something far worse and i’m surprised i wasn’t able to identify it from the first second i smelled it. scully has some ass problems. what am I going to do with these dogs?!? i think we’ll have to deal with their messes till the yard gets done. she digs, and digs, and rolls in shit in the yard, and has allergies, and digs some more, chews herself to oblivion from the allergies and has scabs. she’s a total mess. i clean her up real good and it lasts only 2 days cuz the yard is just a huge dust bowl right now…

anyways, tomorrow we drive off in the am northward bound to start our trip. Dennis is just sooooooo excited. I am too, but I think it’s my turn now to be worried about the glass being half empty. I’m not pessimistic or “not excited”, I’m just waiting nervously to see how the trip really turns out. Maybe i’ve gotten burned too many times when I expect great things yet end up with a lemon.

Noel will be house / pet sitting for us while we’re gone and that’s great cuz it saves us from having to pay for boarding. It works out for him too cuz he works in west palm but lives way south by sheridan street.

We went window shopping on monday and I spotted our patio set. cheeeeeeep patio set which is what sold me on it. lol. We’re getting the patio set, a new gas bbq and a dish washer in a couple weekends. I can’t wait! I haven’t done any more work on the yard cuz of the trip and having to spend more time on bills and other things. It’s practically done except for fixing a sprinkler head, and leveling the ground. (both easy peazy) I’ve found a tree trimmer after ‘interviewing’ a few over the last 10 days and scheduled a date with him for a week from monday. (he’s the climber i mentioned before) He’s so cute cuz when i told him we had decided to go with him, he was sooo happy and kept saying “oh, i’m so happy. you have no idea how happy this makes me” He wears his emotions on his sleeve. lol! i think he’ll do a fantasmic job. that’s 20 (twenty - i finally counted) trees he will trim and clean up, and one stump removal. for (should i say it on here?) a little less than 800 bucks. For those of you without trees to maintain that sounds like a lot of money, but trust me, that is a steel. We paid 400 bucks once for one tree trim (which really stressed out the tree it was so bad) and a *really* lazy trim job on the other 14. *I* could have done a better job with our 6 foot latter. not good enough our trees are 40 feet high or more. i wish i had found this guy first. oh well..

Jada’s birthday is coming up in 3 months and we (*I*) have a lot to get done before then including all this and getting some furniture in the house. I don’t wanna invite all our fam over for a party and have the place look like the dump it is still w/ all the terribly dog-stained, hand me down furniture we still own. but i’m hopeful it’ll all work out.
