the tree people came yesterday and it took them about 5 hours to get thru everything. I recounted and it’s 21 trees.. not 20 lol. They cut a lot out of thse trees. made them look a lot cleaner without butchering them or making them any different than the neighbor’s trees.. I’m glad that’s over. the only ones that look strange still are the gumbomumbo tree and the startfruit trees. gumbomumbo is recooperating from the last time it got chopped. it looks half dead but you can see millions of little buds where the leaves are growing back. and the startfruit tree had a lot cut from it but not perfect. i didn’t want it cut too much so as not to stress. so next spring i’ll call them back out just for that one. now the next step is to do sod shopping. Not sure how to do that. i guess i’ll just open up the phone book and start making calls.
anyways. this weekend was a pretty lazy weekend. we saw a handful of rented movies and movies on hbo like “adaptation” (weird one but good), and the last samurai (also good) and some other one i can’t remember…. 28 days later on hbo, the ring (again), i wanted to see helter skelter on cbs but i missed it. we had a bbq to break in our new grill and patio furniture. It’s really nice to have a place to sit and lounge out there except that now is when the hot weather is starting. 2 months ago the weather out there was perfect…
today they’re supposed to install the dish washer. MAN i’m gonna be so happy to finally stop arguing w/ dennis about who’s not doing dishes and who’s leaving dishes everywhere. (sad to say i’m usually the lazy one in that department) weeeeee!!!!
I read a review on helter skelter that said it was total shit. They said that it was the “Softer side” of manson. The old helter skelter apparently focused on the trial more than anything. This one focused on the family and mansons warped sense of fatherhood. They said that since you can show way more violence on tv now that the tate/la bianca murders were more graphic in this version. It ends with them going to trial. THey said it does not portray the evil craziness of manson. Just makes him more of a lunatic than that total scary evil feeling you get when you see photographs of him.
Honestly, if he doesnt look totally scary evil, like I wanna run and hide.. theres no point to watch it. That was how he had control over all those people and women, was the scary evil face.
When I had sod put in, I just called around to local nurserys.. I paid 200.00 for 500sq/ft. They delivered it and put it down. I didnt think it was a bad deal.

Reply to cadetstimpySounds like you need to get a Tivo. I’ve never regretted getting mine. I now never miss something that I want to watch, and I can watch what I want to watch on my timetable, not Tivo’s. Pausing live TV is also very handy.
