I haven’t replied to any comments to my last post cuz i just threw in the towel with the lawn in a manner of speaking. I had to admit I didnt’ know what to do and don’t have the time to learn what to do so I called Hulett environmental services. I’m so glad that I did because I feel like a huge weight has lifted off my shoulders now.

I think we’ll end up spending all of the money we saved by laying down the sod ourselves. The guy said it has fugus and chinch bugs too… as for the watering and mowing and all that, we’ll do whatever the guy tells us to tomorrow. and then after that just accept whatever happens with it.

I’m so so so so happy I called someone and don’t have to worry about it anymore. yay!

as all you who have allowed me to bore you to death with my talk of the lawn know, we layed down new sod recently (like 3-4 weeks ago) and now it’s been dying and someone today gave me no hope for it. I don’t know why exactly it’s dying and am considering calling a pro in to look at it but i’m so resisting that idea. We’ve come this far without hiring anybody and really really wish I didn’t have to start now.

I want to fix it on my own but how can I if I don’t have the expertise to know what is causing it to die? Common sense and all the researching I’ve read online tell me Fungus, overwatering. I bought some stuff for the fugus but… how do I know for sure this will make any difference? so so upsetting.

it’s been a while. I just don’t have anything to write about other than the LAWN. We’ve been overwatering it and the thatch closest to the ground started to rott and we have mushroom all over. But we haven’t watered it for 2 days now and it’s pepping up. ok, enough of that. I’m getting tired of hearing myself talk of the lawn.

So, I’ve been uploading pics to my gallery now a little at a time and just today I finally got to upload pics of our elopement. In the 1.5 years since we got married, I’ve never showed anybody those pictures. I dunno why… just lazy I guess. I was sooo soo nervous that day I kept having to ask the girl to repeat the vows for me. LOL! One day (when we have the money) we’ll renew our vows and have a full blown wedding at a church or park with a reception and the whole nine yards. It would be cool to have our own kids be the flower girl and (if we have a boy next) ring bearer.. maybe for our 5th or 7th or whatever the hell it is you celebrate big.

This was in the courthouse in west palm beach and my dad and stepmother were there along with my grandmother and brother who lived with us at the time and dennis’ dad too. Our fathers were the witnesses.

We’ve been dumping so much water on our lawn I’m afraid we alone will be the cause of the next drought in this city. 2 zones feed the back and I let the sprinklers run about 4 hours each side per day total.. as long as the grass is happy, i’m happy.

In other news, I spent the last 2 days finding more bugs in the new gallery2. yay. they love it when I help find bugs. and I love feeling helpful. I just wish there were more themes and layouts available so I could change the default to something I really liked.

Our new sod should have arrived today at noon. Well it’s almost fucking 4pm and it’s still not here. The guy at the nursery is already tired of hearing my voice on the phone. He keeps telling me the same thing “it’s on it’s way” well, it sure fucking takes a long ass time to get here from delray. what a dick.

i decided to make my journal friends only a long time ago and all my posts over the last few months have been friends only. Now i’m backtracking and making all the earliest posts friends only too. What a trip through memory lane that’s turning into!! whew! I’m reading each one as I go. Needless to say this is going to take forever.

it’s 10pm and i’m not sure whether to go to bed and relax, or mess on the piano quietly for a bit.. i hear jada is up having a convo with herself anyway so i don’t think waking her up with the noise should be a concern. hrmmm…. slipping into bed sounds like the better choice right now… nighty nite.
