my memory sucks

Something (or someone) woke me up this morning at 4am and as I was on my way back to sleep my mind started to run amuck. Why was I thinking about celebs and/or tv people who I might have met or had close brushes with? I have no clue.

But something made me think of this one party I went to in ‘95 thereabouts where I met the manager of a local CBS news station along with a bunch of news personalities including Bryan Norcross. It was at someone’s house in Miami Beach and I was invited by an ex or a male friend who was friends with the guy who had just been promoted to news station manager. This party was to celebrate his new promotion. He was a nice guy, so was his gay partner. I remember there being a lot of gay related books on bookshelves and stuff. But I can’t freakin remember who I was with?!!! Was it terry? was it jon? who else could it have been?

This drove me insane for an hour and it still is.. I can’t F’ing remember who it fucking was. I remember drive there with this person, whoever it was, i remember sitting out on the yard with all the tables with this person. I vaguely remember knowing a couple people who were there. Goddammit, why can’t I remember who I was with.

It’s driving me batty!

bra size: apparently still in denial

Before getting pregnant and my boobs swelling up to a E cup, I used to be a C but I’d buy B cup bras. One size smaller always felt more snug and comfy for me so that’s the way I’d do it.

After getting pregnant and my body started changing, I bought 4 bras ranging from C to E. Even today I can still wear the C’s. They are maternity bras so they ran large.

So 2 years have passed and they have gotten old and tattered looking and, since I never buy clothes for myself, I decided to buy some nice Victoria Secret bras and undies.

So I went on monday and, stupid me, I get the C cup in a bikini style bra. BIG mistake. I didn’t try them on at the store because by the time I got there, I was feeling hot and sweaty. Of course they didn’t fit, so I returned them on Tuesday for another style. these were still a C cup but waaaay bigger than the bikini style bras. I wore one to work yesterday and the thing was sooo uncomfortable because it was too small. If it didn’t have the underwire then it would have been comfy but still… my boobs were spilling out of them. So today I’m going back to get the next cup size up. “D”. I’ve never bought D cup bras in my life if I wasn’t pregnant. oi!

shopping…

dang! I did it again.. I went to fresh food market to get fish oil but guess what! Organized Living (the one on glades) is have a going-out-of-business sale. Everything is 40-50% off. I went nutso in that place. Bought a few baskets (going back tomorrow for 2 more!) and got some things for the kitchen. It’s too bad they’re going outta business but the sale is nice. The place is already half empty but there is a LOT of stuff still there. I think i’ll get a couple of those space savers for under the sinks too..

So I made another appt. with another doctor. LOL!! well, this is only for an allergy test. I wanted to do one for long time to see if i’m allergic to any foods. I have a sluggish digestive system for all my life and it’s just something I’ve always wanted to check out. So I bugged my pcp and got the referral. I’m real curious to see what turns up. I actually got the referral back in May but never got around to making the appt. till today. I stumbled on the piece of paper while switching purses and decided to just call. Thank god those things don’t expire. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new purse!

So that be it. Not much else to talk about. ;)

Went shopping… again.

I went to the mall again yesterday. Spent too much again, but I NEVER spend money on clothes or shoes so I shouldn’t feel so guilty about it, dammit! Got J a pair of sketchers shoes. Size 8 1/2. I can’t believe she’s already a size 8. UNreal! She got big feet!

Someone at the Gymboree said to me that she looks older than 23 months. I said “yeah, I know, she’s tall for her age” then she said “no, it’s not just that. Her face looks more mature than 2″. That’s the second person who told me that. The first was at the daycare when one of the receptionists said that she looks 3 or 4. Jeez, really?! I never thought she looked THAT much older than 2. I wished she didn’t, tho. I always looked older growing up too. Got my boobs at 10-11, got my period at 11. Was always ’shaplier’ and taller than everyone else all through grade school.

I wonder if this will also how J will be. I always saw that as a hinderance. I hated being taller and more developed than all the other kids. I thought I was going to be way taller as an adult, but I’m not. I just hope she doesn’t get scoliosis! It is passed on from mother to daughter .. :(
Ok, well, i traded in my new size 9.5 sketchers for size 10 cuz they were too small. Since when am i a freaken 10 anyway? my god!! I compared the 10’s to my new balance 9.5’s and they’re exactly the same. OK, so i’m not going nutso.

I had fun walking around and buying stuff. As long as I kept refilling J’s supply of cheerios, she was happy. I got new bras & underwear , couple thingies for J, new purse for moi, & couple other things i can’t remember right now.

OOOH!! I forgot to mention my derm visit yesterday. So this dermatologist says to me the same thing the derm from 2 years ago said. That what I got is t.v. (Tinea Versicolor - finally got the name down) it’s a fungus caused by a yeast called Pityrosporum Orbiculare. yyyyeah. So I looked online for picks but all the ones i’ve seen are white spots, not dark like mine. Of course versicolor means that it can be different colors. I’m going to get my Rx filled for the cream and use it so we’ll see if it works. I still want to try this anti-candida diet tho, cuz i eat too much sugar and tv is a yeast too.

OH, and I asked about ketones online. This diet is unlike atkins in that it allows for complex carbs so I should be fine even if I did follow it to the letter… which i doubt I will. I am going to give the protein shakes a try. They’re supposed to curb sugar cravings.
