throat problems and nausea aside, (STILL a little sick), we managed to have a time away from Jada for a change. D and I both had the day off from work (labor day alternate) so we took J to daycare and stayed home a few hours just vegging and sleeping. man, that was a nice nap! Then we got up at 11:30am and went to the movies to see Four Brothers. We thought it was pretty good movie.

We then went to Barnes & Noble and just looked around at kids books. I remember the days when we’d look only at computer books and spend LOTS of time thumbing through them and always buy one or two. Now, we just look at kiddie books. LOL! We bought 2 for Jada. One that helps with counting, the other about the colors in the rainbow. ‘gay pride’ book, as D put it. lol! Then we sat at a table and had starbucks drinks. I forgot how nice conversation without J around could be. man, we really need to do this more often!

Then we picked J up and thankfully she was in a good mood the rest of the day or it would have nullified the earlier hours for me. After she want to bed we saw “Y tu mama tambien” on dvd. That’s one WEIRD ass movie, lemme tell u.

anyways, it was nice change of pace for us.

Jada’s talking more these days. Repeating things we say (sometimes not the best of words such as shit and something that sounds like fuck) but still improving nonetheless.
