So i’m sick again for the 4th time in 3 months. I broke down and have been using some store brand equivalent to nyquil. Probably not in the safe list for pregnant women but i’ve been taking only half a dose. It really does help me sleep at night.
I really hope all this sickeness is caused by being pregnant and not by Jada bring it home. I’d like to think there’ll be an end to it. J’s sick too this time with pretty much the same symptoms as me. She practically lost her voice yesterday but I don’t know know how she’s doing today since I haven’t seen her yet. I’ve also been liquering her up with dimetap at night to help her sleep. That stuff is like magic almost.
So the treadmill I ordered couple weeks ago arrived yesterday. The truck driver was nice enough to cart it into the house for us. THANK GOD. because that thing was waaay too big for a domestic hand truck and SOOOOO heavy!! Dennis and I put it together in about 2 hours (he did most of it) then he tried it out. Seems real strong. I haven’t tried it out yet since I’m not feeling all that up to it. All I had energy for yesterday was a little folding of clean laundry caring for J. Well, i guess I could have just walked on it but I was too tired by the end of the day.
Anyway we got another hurricane coming and I hope to god our house doesn’t get hammered. We might lose a couple more trees but I just hope our house doesn’t get hammered. At the speed it’s going, we won’t be seeing it till sometime next week. Screw the weekend.
I totally forgot to say something about my ob appt on monday. It was the shortest visit yet but we got to hear the baby’s heartbeat. The stupid doctor still won’t give me a heartrate but he guesstimated it in the 150’s. Jada’s was 167. I don’t know how much to trust his guesstimate tho. We have a u/s (the big one) schedule for next month. We’ll get to find out the baby’s sex then . provided the baby cooperates with the tech, that is. Wish us luck!
where did you get the treadmill again? Leon hates the eliptical so we were thinking of getting him one.
Reply to cadetstimpyi bought it directly from the manufacturer on line smoothfitness.com
Reply to Tania (digsite)which one did you get? do you recommend one?
Reply to cadetstimpyto get the lowdown on treadmills and what to look for before you buy one, go to http://www.treadmilldoctor.com/Pages/homebestbuy.htm
I just went to a bunch of exersize, runners, and fitness forums and looked at what they had to say about treadmills. that site kept coming up over and over. i liked that smooth kept coming up over and over as highest recommended. the one we got folds up automagically with the push of a button which i like very much. not to mention the warranty is awesome. running belt: the wider the better, I got the 7.1HR. now all of a sudden they have the Pro which looks even better but it’s 500 bucks more i wouldn’t have gotten it anyway and they’re sold outta the one i got.
i was originally looking at the horizon fitness ones but i couldn’t find anything nice said about them anywhere.
Reply to Tania (digsite)Once you start using the treadmill, you will have more energy to fold the laundry. Trust me, i know it doesn’t make sense, but when I don’t work out…i’m always tired.
Reply to grocerynipplesno, it does make sense.. that’s why i got the treadmill, to help me get my energy up. I haven’t even tried the thing yet. I’m still so sick all i wanna do is breath. LOL! my doc prescribed me an inhaler (beleive it or not) and antibiotics.
