well, i’m now 38 weeks 1 day pregnant and I’m expecting something to happen soon. I just finished writing up Dennis’ and my todo list for the week and I wondered at each stage if that was where we’d have to put it all on hold for baby. Which day will she be born? It would be nice if we did reach end of the week having completed all the items on the list, but at the same time if that were to happen and I still have no labor signs, I’d be upset. I don’t want to reach 39+ weeks pregnant.

I’ll have more to say about that after my monday appointment. Hopefully my dr. will check my cervix that day and tell me if I’ve progressed any further. My last internal was 2 weeks ago and I was 50% effaced and 1.5 cm dilated then. I’m hoping to hear something like 3-4 cm, 80-90% effaced next time. If I did get that news, I would beg.. BEG! to get my membranes stripped and to be signed out of work.

D’s dad is mostly likely the one to watch J while I have the baby. I have my worries about that only because he’s probably out of practice with the diaper thing. It would have been better if she were out of diapers by now then he wouldn’t have to deal with that part. I feel weird about a male family member having to deal with her privates. Even if that’s grandpa. We have 2 other alternatives tho.. but larry is still the most convenient.

Anyways, the only other update/news I have is that I’m sick.. I dont’ feel lousy but I have bad chest congestion and my nose is always running now.. completely annoying. The house, imo, is not ready how i’d would have liked it to be before baby comes. Still, D made a good point when he said it’s in better shape than when J arrived. Man was that just disgusting. those couches.. yuck.. the clutter… Now our outside is way worse, but the inside is better. Still, I’m not particularly happy with the inside.

We have these problem areas that always seem to get right back to being in bad shape. I’m so tired of it, but at the same time don’t want to deal with it.
