It’s been a while…

Boy, it took a while to logon to this damned blog… mysql was screwed up on my vps account and I didn’t have securecrt installed on my new laptop so i could fix it…

Anyways, in exactly 8 days I’ll be back at work again. I felt quite stressed about it yesterday.. not so much today tho but the stress is still there. I know things will be changing dramatically next week. I’ll have to use my poorly exercised brain again and I’ll have to leave my poor baby at home with her dad while he has to deal with Jada too. The adjustment will be tough on all three of them. Oh, and I’ll basically have to get up before the sun comes up in order to make this work for me on days where J goes to daycare.

I know my computers at work have been unplugged for weeks and weeks. Who knows if they will come back to life at all. I’ll have to deal with pumping again… what a royal pain in the rear end that will be. :( I’m going to have to take care of both kids when I’m tired and have little gas (and patience) left in me. sigh….

I wasn’t used to being a sahm last month, but I think I am now. but anyways… I’ll get used to being a wohm again, it’s just going to hurt a little I guess.

So aside from my worries/anxiety/whatever about getting back to work, things at home have been going OK. I decided a few weeks ago to get house repairs done once and for all so I turned into the phone book comando calling people every day and keeping records of the calls and who called back and what estimates we got, etc… And we got the damaged fence repaired on saturday. This cost us 2900 bucks… a SUPER cheep price considering HOW MUCH fencing was replaced. in two weeks we get our patio screening and frame repaired. that will be half as much (another steal imo) then in about another month we will have our entire house restucco’d.. another super low price. I’m very proud! We also need to get our AC serviced (i just need to make one call to get that done… keep forgetting to do that!) then soon after we’ll get the house repainted, the roof repaired, our driveway repaved, our sprinkler system fixed…. sigh.. can’t wait!

So what else… the baby is doing great. She got over her second cold finally and got her second round of vaccinations this morning. Thankfully she hasn’t had a reaction to it.

I also decided (well, almost decided) to change the spelling of her name from Maya to Maia. I can’t explain why better than to say that, to me, she’s always been a Maia and not a Maya. LOL! sounds looney, i know.. but despite how strongly I feel about spelling it with an “I”, I still have some trouble making this final. It’s just one lousy letter and I’m afraid changing it might be a mistake, as if her entire future depends on this small insignificant thing. anyways, I’ll have to decide it soon.

She’s grown a lot already. 3 inches and 4 lbs since she was born! here’s a photo of her!
