Why didn’t a certain someone let me know that SP1 was still in beta and a good 6 months away from it’s final release?!
I installed Vista last week and I gotta say it’s real purty. :) very pretty and I like it … alot. But I also enjoyed my ability to sync my ipaq to my laptop over bluetooth. I can still sync with Vista using the cradle but that’s just a major pain in my arse. Who wants to have to pull out the damned usb cradle EVERY DAY. It’s a laptop, a mobile device, and the less wires the better.
I’m still trying but I’m damned near ready to throw in the towel on this one and just accept the fact that I’ll have to use the friggin cradle until SP1 comes out. This is assuming that SP1 will fix the problem, of course. At least it seems that the only people who have posted on forums saying that they’ve been able to sync over bluetooth are MS partners testing out beta software.
I’ve downloaded and installed Windows Mobile Device Center at least 5 times. Uninstall / Install / Uninstall / Install. I’m fed up with it. A nice event log would have been nice!! If at least to say “you tried, we failed”. I’ve even been taking my laptop into work with me so I can slave over this little problem ALL my waking hours. It was also nice to see that vista can’t handle flashing the rom on my ipaq. OK, I should have known better. But I ended up completely obliterating all data on that damned thing. And how long did it take me to install all that shit on there? Well here we go again…
