Ever wonder if you could sell shit on ebay?

Well not real steaming shit but stuff that might as well be shit?

I have a 7 year old laptop that died on me 2 years ago. I tried to find replacement part for it but the part I needed was discontinued and I wasn’t about to visit ebay every day for weeks to find it so I just bought myself a new laptop and tossed my old one up on a shelf.

I finally decided last week to try to sell it on eBay for parts and I sortof expected that I’d get 10 bucks for it if anything. I set the opening bid at 99 cents (that’s a penny short of a buck).

Imagine my surprise when now 3 days before the auction is to end the bid is at $45. My god it’s crazy. Not that $45 is going to buy me a vacation or anything but $45 for a carcass of a laptop that doesn’t include harddrive, memory or power cable?

Jeez. They must be planning on selling the components separately.

It’s got 4 watchers and with 3 days to go I know that’s going to increase. I wonder if these bidders know how to read the fat letters that say DOES NOT WORK.

I think people are more eBay savvy no and will know that when you purchase something there you have to read all the print… but who knows.

I have gotten bad stuff from there before… some of it was cell phore related stuf that either did not work or never arrived. Besides that my ebay experience has been awesome.

I hope they’re reading. The second guy who bid looks like he’s in the business of buying used laptops, refurbishing them and selling them on ebay. I can see his desire for the parts. But the other dude who asked what’s wrong with the laptop got me worried.

I’ve never had a bad experience on eBay yet either. I hope it stays that way.
