I fell asleep last night with my laptop teetering precariously on its side and leaning on my legs (I was laying on my side on the couch). Then I woke up this morning on my back. The laptop had slid off the couch and landed on the floor on its side. I tried to turn it on but it couldn’t find a bootable device. MAJOR GASP. I mean like… this is how we lost the hdd on the old toshiba laptop. And this time I don’t have a backup copy of my pictures and videos anywhere else!
Thankfully it was nothing. The hdd had just slid out of place with the fall. It just needed to be reseated. THANK GOD.
What prompted this post, however, was that as soon as Vista booted up, it graced me with this message:
I’m impressed because although I have seen low battery alerts before, I had never seen a low battery health alert before. I would imagine that clicking on the middle button would take me to a Dell shop site with a listing of batteries? Let’s see….
Oh big surprise! It opened a browser tab to this site.
I beleive Dell has my Cc info. It really should just go ahead and order a new battery for me. You know, to save me the clicking time.
